Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic expects the party’s leader Tomislav Nikolic to be its candidate in presidential elections. Vucic, who is also the Progressives’ candidate for Belgrade mayor, repeated once again that Serbian President and Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic were taking advantage of media in the election campaign. “SNS leader represents Serbia’s future” Nevertheless, he believes that Nikolic will win the presidential elections. “Tadic wants to be in the ring with both of his hands free while Tomislav Nikolic’s hands are tied. Nevertheless, he believes that Nikolić will win the presidential elections.

“Tadić wants to be in the ring with both of his hands free while Tomislav Nikolić’s hands are tied. But both Tadić and the DS are the past and Tomislav Nikolić is Serbia’s future and the citizens will choose the future,” he said in Belgrade on Sunday.

According to him, the city of Belgrade has become indebted by more than EUR 850mn during the current authorities’ mandate.

The SNS deputy leader promised that there would be no more indebtedness if the Progressives came to power, explaining that the cities and municipalities would finance themselves thanks to the taxes.
