PM Mirko Cvetkovic and representatives of trade unions today in Belgrade reached an agreement on proposed changes to the pension law, said reports. The government announced in a statement that the meeting concluded that the government would in the next two weeks set up two working groups, made up of its members and those from the unions. Govt., unions say they reached agreement One will "consider finding a just and efficient solution concerning the rights of miners and other workers entitled to benefit pension plans", while the other working groups will work to "determine a protective clause in the salary-pension ratio". The proposed changes to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance Fund set the minimal pension at 27 percent of the average salary, and postpone a decision on raising the retirement age for women for 2013. Trade unions negotiating team head Milorad Mijatovic confirmed for B92 this Friday that the agreement will see the amended and appended draft law sent back to parliament - after it has been approved at by the government.
