Serbia's 100 best trumpet players will perform tonight in downtown Belgrade. The concert is organized to mark the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade from Nazi German occupation, which will officially be celebrated on Tuesday. Top trumpeters ready for Belgrade concert Star trumpeters who have been performing at the Guca Festival in the past will take part, including Dejan Lazarevic, who told B92 that the musicians had already had several "12-hour rehearsals". “We’ll be playing both Serbian and several Russian tunes – Kalinka, Kazachok, Volga, Volga… We're a little nervous, but in a positive way. We have been practicing a lot,” explained Lazarevic. “The reason we are performing in Belgrade is the 65th anniversary of the liberation. Now, the fact that [visiting Russian President Dmitry] Medvedev has also fitted into the story makes it even better,” he stated. The concert will be broadcast live on B92 TV tonight at 19:45 CET.

Star trumpeters who have been performing at the Guča Festival in the past will take part, including Dejan Lazarević, who told B92 that the musicians had already had several "12-hour rehearsals".
