Police in Croatia have filed criminal charges against two persons who on Saturday assaulted a Serb man in his home near Knin. Radovan Raskovic, 52, was attacked in the village of Zargovic, when the pair of 19-year-olds, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, broke into his house at three o'clock in the morning breaking furniture, hurling insults and threats and physically assaulting him. Serb attacked in his home in Croatia Raskovic was quoted as saying by the Croatian media that he is "thankful to the police who saved his life". The brutal rampage of the pair of attackers, who the media said were originally from Bosnia, stopped after police officers fired shots from their pistols. The suspects were taken to a judge in the town of Sibenik. The charges against them qualify the threats and destruction of property as a hate-crime.

Rašković was quoted as saying by the Croatian media that he is "thankful to the police who saved his life".

The brutal rampage of the pair of attackers, who the media said were originally from Bosnia, stopped after police officers fired shots from their pistols.
