A senior DS official says Serbia should not enter into any dispute with Georgia over South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Dragoljub Micunovic, who is president of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, told Novi Sad daily Dnevnik that Serbia still needed to insist on the respect of its territorial integrity. "Steer clear of Ossetia dispute" “It is essential that we remain devoted to the principle of territorial integrity, because it is our only chance to defend Kosovo,” Micunovic stressed. He said that Serbia should “steer clear” of the dispute over South Ossetia and Abkhazia, that it should stick to its own problems, and insist on its territorial integrity. Micunovic said that Serbia belonged to Europe both geopolitically and economically, adding that those were the reasons Serbia should focus on joining the EU as soon as possible.
