The Ukrainian army began a campaign in the eastern city of Slavyansk and according to reports, is preparing to attack on the pro-Russian units in Kramatorsk.

A number of people have also been wounded. The situation is currently mostly peaceful.The Ukrainian army overtook nine checkpoints on the outskirts of the city with the support of 20 aircraft and armored vehicles, but has not yet begun attacking the positions of pro-Russian "units of self-defense" in the city.
It has been reported that the pro-Russian forces shot down three or four helicopters, and it has been confirmed that one Ukrainian pilot was killed and another captured. The fate of the crews of other aircraft reportedly shot down is not known.
