B92 has learned that the pilot, Major Ivan Pantić, ejected from the aircraft - a J-22 Orao - and was not injured.

According to the department's chief, Dragiša Bročić, who spoke earlier in the day, firefighters and ambulances had been sent to the crash site.

This is the sixth military plane that has crashed in Serbia in the past five years.
