"Urgent ceasefire needed in eastern Ukraine"

"Urgent ceasefire needed in eastern Ukraine"

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that they "agreed it was necessary to fully implement the Minsk agreement."

Dacic also "expressed concern about the situation in eastern Ukraine, and pointed out that it is necessary to make maximum efforts to urgently have a ceasefire," according to the statement.

The minister at the same time "expressed support for his special representative in Ukraine," and called on all sides in the conflict to guarantee the safety to the OSCE observer mission in that country.

Dacic also announced that an extraordinary meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council will be held in Vienna on Tuesday because of the worsening situation in eastern Ukraine.
