The Serbian parliament voted to adopt late on Thursday in Belgrade the country's state budget for 2012. Out of 250 MPs, the most important financial act won the support of all 128 MPs who attended the session. Serbian parliament adopts budget for 2012 According to the budget, revenues in 2012 should add up to RSD 750 billion, while expenses would total RSD 890 billion, thus accounting for the RSD 140 billion worth of deficit. The parliament adopted the government proposition that the 2012 budget should enter into force prior to the eighth day of publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia. Upon adoption of the budget, MPs went on to discuss the set of accompanying budget laws. The laws comprise bill of amendments to the Law on Budget System, Excise Duty Law, Corporate Income Tax Law, contributions to the mandatory social insurance, tax proceedings and administration, mandatory traffic insurance, public roads, road traffic safety and the Fund for Environment Protection.
