“Tadić, Sejdiu could meet in March”

According to Priština daily Express, Boris Tadić and Fatmir Sejdiu could meet in Slovenia in March.

According to Pristina daily Express, Boris Tadic and Fatmir Sejdiu could meet in Slovenia in March. The daily states that the idea came from the Slovenian foreign minister and that Tadic promised to participate in the March meeting in Slovenia, which is expected to host an EU meeting on the Western Balkans. “Tadic, Sejdiu could meet in March” Slovenia and Brussels also plan on inviting Kosovo Albanian President Sejdiu as well. Serbia has nothing against the participation of Kosovo at regional meetings if it is in accordance with UN Resolution 1244 and if Kosovo is adequately named UNMIK-Kosovo, Tadic’s cabinet stated regarding the rumor that the two could be meeting soon. Slovenian media stated that the conference on the Western Balkans is expected to be help on March 20, and that it would be “the first meeting in 18 years in which leaders from all the regional countries would be in attendance”. Slovenian Foreign Minister Samuel Zbogar was the official who announced the possibility of Tadic and Sejdiu meeeting. Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor said that the conference will be vital in many aspects, and that its goal is to “find solutions for open questions in the Western Balkans region”. Pahor said that the Kosovo officials will be invited to the conference, and represented in an acceptable way, adding that the Serbian President’s “constructive role” in most regional questions is vital to stability. Pahor and Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor initiated the planning of this conference, which the Council of Europe and European Commission are helping to organize.

Slovenia and Brussels also plan on inviting Kosovo Albanian President Sejdiu as well.

Serbia has nothing against the participation of Kosovo at regional meetings if it is in accordance with UN Resolution 1244 and if Kosovo is adequately named UNMIK-Kosovo, Tadić’s cabinet stated regarding the rumor that the two could be meeting soon.
