BELGRADE Delta Holding owner Miroslav Miskovic has announced that he was withdrawing from the ownership structure of the Belgrade-based tabloid Press. The owner of Serbia's largest privately-held company holds the largest individual stake in the daily. According to the businessman, the decision was his personal contribution to the government's endeavors to establish full freedom of the media and responsible journalism, through transparent relations in the media, and by putting an end to covert financing and ownership. Miskovic also thanked the readership of Press for their trust, and especially its reporters, which he said brought it "good reputation and identity".
