One of the returnees Veljko Komatović told Tanjug that a half of the cemetery fence was missing.

“Pictures on tombstones are broken and on top of everything they are throwing dead cattle in the Serbian cemetery. The gate was also removed. Nobody has reacted to this. The church was also demolished,” he explained.

Komatović wondered whether anybody would stop the vandalism.

About a dozen of Serbian families live in the village of Žač. They have been facing numerous problems since they returned to their homes and some local Albanians even spoke publicly against their return to the village.
