Ten years after journalist Milan Pantic was killed the perpetrators and motives of the murder are still unknown. Jagodina Police Administration has formed a working group that will solely investigate Pantic’s murder. 10th anniversary of journalist’s murder According to police, more than 1,500 persons have been questioned so far while several hundred of them took the polygraph test. Former Interior Minister Dragan Jocic said in March 2005 that “Milan Pantic was not supposed to be killed but only intimidated, but that he was killed by mistake made by those who had been sent to scare him”. The Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) Executive Board Chairman Petar Jeremic says that the authorities must never give up on finding the perpetrators and punishing them. Judiciary’s inefficiency, lack of political will and obstruction of investigations of journalists Pantic, Slavko Curuvija and Dada Vujasinovic’s murder have prompted the UNS to call for a probe into those murder investigations.
