A conference focusing on the Western Balkans is held in Berlin on Thursday under German Chancellor Angela Merkel's patronage.

Germany hosts conference dedicated to W. Balkans

The Serbian delegation will be led by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, accompanied by Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić and Minister of Finance Dušan Vujović.

Vučić said he would present a detailed five-point plan at the conference, which will include a proposition for cooperation in important infrastructure projects and improvement of the Central European Free Trade Agreement.

A meeting between the Western Balkan prime ministers and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso will be heal at Merkel's headquarters.

EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule will attend a meeting of foreign ministers, while Commissioner for Energy Guenther Oettinger will meet with the ministers of economy.

Dačić will speak about economic management and EU integration at the meeting of foreign ministers, while Vujović will participate in two panel discussions on energy, technology, infrastructure, employment, development of small and medium companies and investments.

Vučić arrived in Berlin a day before the conference and met with Germany's Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Mueller.

They discussed grants and soft loans that Germany plans to give to Serbia by the end of this year, which total EUR 140 million, as well as cooperation in energy, utilities and agriculture.

Vučić will meet in Berlin on Thursday with officials of Goldman Sachs, Austria's Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurtz, President of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of Ministers Vjakoslav Bevanda and Montenegro's Prime Minister Milo Đukanović.

The Serbian prime minister will also attend a dinner hosted by Merkel. He will finish his visit to Berlin with a meeting with Germany's Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy and Energy Sigmar Gabriel.
