BELGRADE The government wishes to sell the state-run telecommunications company Telekom Srbija only if it can find a buyer willing to pay EUR 2.5bn for 100% ownership According to Belgrade-based Blic daily, so far there has been no investor who officially contacted the government with the desire to become "a strategic partner for Telekom". In case this occurred, the source explained, an international tender would be called, preceded by several months of preparation procedures. Meanwhile, the media have quoted the owner of the Russian financial corporation AFK Sistema, who last week said the company was considering participating in the privatization of Telekom, and that a decision would be made soon.
