France will do all it can to help Serbia become cadidate for EU membership in late February, advisors to French President Nicolas Sarkozy have said. This was heard in a meeting they held with representatives of the Serb diaspora in Paris. "France supports Serbian EU candidacy bid" The delegation of 15 Serb activists from Paris conferred with president's political and diplomatic advisors Damien Loras and Olivier Biancarelli in the Elysee Palace on Wednesday. "France has pledged to do all in its power for Serbia to get the EU candidate status late in February. Official Paris will even go a step further and request from Germany to clearly state its position ahead of the decisive ministerial meeting in Brussels which is to table Serbia's candidacy," Chairman of the Serbian Institute for Public Diplomacy Zoran Milinkovic underlined.
