Belgrade team head Borislav Stefanovic said Saturday the agreement on customs stamps and cadastre did not imply Kosovo's status. He stressed that the stamps and customs documentation were status neutral. "Customs stamp agreement represents status neutral solution" He told a news conference the talks in Brussels on Friday did not include the Jarinje and Brnjak checkpoints on the administrative line between Kosovo and central Serbia. “The issue will be treated adequately during the course of the dialogue, but the only thing acceptable for Serbia is that no Kosovo customs officials should be at the crossings and that the agreement made with KFOR, which expires September 15, should stay in force,” the team chief stressed. “Any changes to the agreement invite instability and violate the peace,” he warned. “The talks in Brussels on Friday were possibly the most difficult so far and resulted in an agreement concerning two important matters,” Stefanovic pointed out. “It was proven that the talks can result in solutions to actual problems the people face,” he noted. “Regretfully, because of the historical, political and security situation, the Belgrade team's involvement is not along the lines of what is best for Serbia, but only serves to get the best possible result in the current circumstances,” Stefanovic concluded.
