Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Cedomir Jovanovic told weekly NIN that his party would not take part in a reconstructed government. “Only an emergency and thorough reconstruction of the government policy and giving up ambitions of the state to decide about everything would make sense for Serbia,” he stressed. LDP won’t join reconstructed government The LDP leader pointed out that change of policy would be “much more important and useful than political or staffing make-up through giving up on less popular ministers”. He has assessed that the announced reconstruction would mean “repacking within the ruling coalition ahead of the elections” and that such project in unacceptable to the LDP. When asked whether his party would join the government, Jovanovic said that it could only enter the government after the elections and with a new distribution of power. “We want to promote a completely different organization of state affairs and to come to a government that would have only 12 ministries in the next government, but after the elections and with a new balance of power,” he concluded.
