Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said in Nigeria that he will be visiting Ghana in January to make preparations for President Boris Tadic’s visit to the country. Jeremic said that Tadic was invited to visit Ghana on March 6, which will be the anniversary of the country’s independence and will celebrate 100 years since the birth of the country’s first prime minister Kwame Nkrumah. Tadic invited to visit Ghana Jeremic said after meeting on Saturday with Ghana’s Deputy Foreign Minister Chris Kpodo, that Ghana wants to restore economic cooperation with Serbia, especially in the construction industry, which has left a significant imprint in Ghana. Ghana is steadfast in its stance that it will not recognize Kosovo independence, Jeremic said. Jeremic will meet in Abuja today with Nigerian Foreign Minister Ojo Maduekwe, after which they will sign a cooperation protocol between the two foreign ministries.
