The raid was conducted on the orders of the War Crimes Prosecution, B92's MUP sources have confirmed. Search for Mladic in western Serbia Officers were also looking for Mladic's suspected helpers in this western Serbian town. Beta news agency reported today that a local website said members of MUP's Zandarmerija (Gendarmerie), armed with rifles, were seen inside the grounds of Vujic-Valjevo, a local privately owned factory. Reports unofficially added that a search of the premises was underway this morning, but that the workers continued with their duties undisturbed. Gendarmes who arrived in several vehicles were preventing reporters from entering the grounds. The same sources said that private homes of the factory's owners have also been blocked and searched by police. Beta reported that some ten days ago inspectors were at Vujic-Valjevo conducting a review of its business affairs. However, the same sources are also not ruling out that today's police raid may have to do with searching for Mladic's helpers. The former Bosnian Serb military leader is wanted on charges that include war crimes and genocide. Also Monday, Hague Tribunal sources confirmed that Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will be visiting Belgrade on November 17 and 18.
