U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will pay a visit to Belgrade on Tuesday.

Nuland, Schulz to visit Belgrade on Tuesday

Nuland's Balkan tour started several days ago with a visit to Dubrovnik, Croatia, where she attended 10th annual Croatia Forum, after which she visited Sarajevo, Pristina, Tirana and Skopje. According to the U.S. Department of State, she will also visit Podgorica.

The main topics of talks with regional political leaders and members of civil society feature bilateral and regional issues, including Euro-Atlantic and regional integration and energy.

European Parliament President Martin Schulz will also arrive here on Tuesday, when he will start his two-day visit.

Schulz will meet with Serbia's top officials, representatives of opposition parties and NGOs.

During his stay in Serbia, Schulz will confer with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

Later on Tuesday, he will also meet Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic, while on Wednesday he will address the Serbia parliament in a special session.

The president of the EP will also have meetings with Ombudsman of Serbia Sasa Jankovic, leader of the opposition Democratic Party Bojan Pajtic, leader of the opposition Social Democratic Party Boris Tadic as well as Serbian civil society representatives.
