French General Philippe Morillon has been "thrown out" of the Potocari Memorial Center by the mothers of the Bosniak victims of Srebrenica. They believe that he was responsible for not preventing genocide, said reports. French general unwelcome in Srebrenica Morillon, who commanded UN forces in Bosnia in the 1990s, was at the memorial to pay respects to the victims killed in Srebrenica in 1995. The Mothers of Srebrenica association president Hatidza Mehmedovic said that the general had announced his visit, but that they told him he was not welcome. "He did not dare meet with us, and he came here ahead of the announced time. When we saw him at the Memorial Center, we threw him out. This is our pilgrimage, not a place for those responsible for genocides," she was quoted as saying. "Morion is one of those who could have prevented genocide, but he did not do it. He left without a word toward Bratunac and we do not know where he'll be later," Mehmedovic said, according to Fena news agency. The report said that many Bosniaks accuse the French general of not preventing the crime, and of being a "pro-Serb propagandist".

Morillon, who commanded UN forces in Bosnia in the 1990s, was at the memorial to pay respects to the victims killed in Srebrenica in 1995.
