Albania closely cooperates with American and European diplomats in order to ensure new Kosovo's recognitions. This is according to Albania's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilir Meta. FM: Albania lobbies for Kosovo In an interview for the Albanian language daily Iliria, which is published in New York, Meta stressed that in her recent message to Tirana, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton congratulated the Albanian Government not only for its contribution to Kosovo's recognition, but also for its policy of regional conciliation with Serbia. Meta also emphasized that his country, after the International Court of Justice issued its advisory opinion, does not plan to submit a resolution on Kosovo to the General UN Assembly. In the interview, the Albanian official pointed out that the rights of ethnic Albanian communities in the Presevo Valley is an important issue in the relations between Belgrade and Tirana. This has been, as he pointed out, a topic of discussion at every bilateral meeting of Albania and Serbia. He said that Tirana wants to turn the Presevo Valley into a place of peace and coexistence of Serbs and ethnic Albanians.
