Bosnian PM: Kosovo challenge for RS

Bosnia-Herzegovina Prime Minister Nikola Spiric said that the confirmation of Kosovo’s independence by the UN could cause a reaction by the Republic of Srpska. He said that with a confirmation of Kosovo’s independence, the UN would “make the first move towards the road to independence for the Republic of Srpska (RS) and many other states that want independence.” Bosnian PM: Kosovo challenge for RS Spiric told Podgorica daily Dan that starting with the decision of the General Assembly, there will be new processes in RS, which can greatly affect the complete situation in the Balkans. “These processes are similar to the ones that the Albanians led many decades ago in trying to separate Kosovo from Serbia and establishing the complete independence of the province,” Spiric said. He said that Serbs in the RS have nothing against the Bosniaks even proclaiming an independent Bosniak republic, and the Bosnian Croats doing the same if the RS gains the right to do so.
