Montenegrin Health Minister Miodrag Radunovic says a superbug resistant to all antibiotics has not been found in his country. Media in Belgium reported on Friday that a tourist who was in Montenegro in July was infected with the bacteria that contains the NDM-1 enzyme. "No superbug in Montenegro" Radunovic told Podgorica-based daily Pobjeda that it was "symptomatic" that reports about bacteria or viruses always surfaced at the height of the summer season. "It's happening according to a well-known scenario, somebody happens to fall ill in June or July, and is receiving treatment precisely in August," the Montenegrin minister dismissed the news. Montenegrin Public Health Institute Director Boban Mugosa also denied that there was any information from institutions in the country or abroad that reported the presence of the dangerous bacteria.
