"Thaci must know only states, not territories, can sue"

"Unfortunately, in Pristina a politician's success is valued in line with how much hatred they are capable of expressing toward Serbs and Serbia. That's politics. Thaci is in this way trying to disavow that court," Vulin said.

The minister then noted that Thaci must know that only states, not territories, can sue "anyone for anything."

Kosovo and Metohija is a territory under UN's interim administration, in line with UNSC Resolution 1244; it is not a member of the UN, and will not become one, Vulin recalled.

According to him, this is an attempt to "upset Serbs" considering that "(Bakir) Izetbegovic is announcing a lawsuit at the same time, a government will be formed in Macedonia if it sues Serbia, and Thaci would like to be able to sue us for genocide."

Vulin's reaction came as Thaci, who serves as Kosovo's president announced - after his failed attempt to transform the Kosovo Security Force into an army only by adopting a law - that Pristina would "sue Serbia for genocide committed in Kosovo."
