The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDS) took on Saturday a traditional "Walk for Zoran" to the Serbian government building where they laid wreaths and lit candles in memory of Zoran Djindjic.

The LDP and SDS leaders, Cedomir Jovanovic and Boris Tadic respectively, led the column of walkers.

"Zoran's idea was an idea of life. He had energy, courage. His fight was a fight for life, and if we give up on this, there will no future for this country,“ Tadic said.

The current cabinet headed by Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, also laid wreaths below the memorial plaque at the Serbian government building, marking the place where Djindjic was assassinated, Beta agency reported.

Milorad Ulemek, former commander of a special police unit called Red Berets, was sentenced to 40 years in jail for masterminding the Djindjic assassination.
