Pristina: Arrest warrants for tear gas-firing opposition MPs

The four are wanted for setting off, on several occasions, tear gas during assembly meetings with the goal of interrupting them.

Tear gas is considered a life-endangering weapon according to the criminal code, the Beta agency is reporting.

The court previously summoned the four on several occasions in order to give statements to the prosecution, but they refused. On one occasion, the police brought Kurti in, but he was released after two hours, and after his supporters' violent rioting.

Kadaj Bujupi's lawyer, meanwhile, told the Albanian language website koha.net that he had "no official information" that an arrest warrant had been issued for his client.
