The Mikser association has appealed on citizens to help collect assistance for refugees who are now in a park near Belgrade's main bus station.

Appeal to help refugees with clothes, and volunteer work

"The supplies are running out fast, in Miskaliste, as well as in centers for assistance in other parts of Serbia, to which will distribute a part of the assistance that arrives. The needed items are: well preserved and comfortable clothes, jackets, sweaters, pants, jeans, socks, and new underwear."

Those who wish to donate the said items can do so at Miskaliste in 5 Mostarska St. in Belgrade, each day from 10 am until 4 pm.

The B92 Fund and the Trag Foundation on Thursday called on adult volunteers who speak Arabic or English to join their campaign and help refugees in an info-center that will be set up near the main bus station.

The volunteers, who can apply by sending an email at volontiranje@fondb92.org, will be expected to spend four hours a day and up to 16 hours a week at the info center, during three months.

They will be provided with professional and educational support, and will be given written recommendations after the end of their stint as volunteers.
