PM wishes SRS leader "good health"

Aleksandar Vučić has said he wishes "good health" to SRS leader Vojislav Šešelj, <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics.php?yyyy=2014&mm=11&dd=12&nav_id=92219" class="text-link" target= "_blank">who today returned from the Hague</a> and announced he will be politically active.

PM wishes SRS leader "good health"

The answer was, "American", to which the prime minister "just shrugged," said reports.

A journalist with the N1 television outlet then asked "what his question meant," to which Vučić replied that it was "a simple question" and that he wished the station success, and that he otherwise "supports U.S. investments in Serbia."

Energy Minister and high ranking SPS party official Aleksandar Antić also today commented on the provisional release of Šešelj to say it had "exclusively humanitarian significance, for Šešelj and for his family and friends."

"The government of Serbia, related to the provisional release of Šešelj, demonstrated full responsibility and made an effort to so that it occurred, as it would have done for any other citizen of Serbia who found themselves in a similar position," he told the Beta news agency.

With regard to possible public engagement of Šešelj, Antić said: "It is clear that it cannot have a significant effect on political developments in the country, and especially not affect the stability and functioning of the government."

"Such expectations are even naive, because today's Serbia, thankfully, is not the one Šešelj left nearly 12 years ago when he went to The Hague, and in particular it has no common point with the policy that Šešelj advocated at the time. Simply, the idea that Split is a Serbia city, thankfully, does not belong to the political reality," said Antić.
