How minds change quick?

How the citizen of Split were cheering and enjoying that the Serbian army liberated their city in 1918. Completely lost that spirit in the 1990s.
Dalmatia was always Serbian and Italian populated, you can find that in Venetian/Italian/Austrian/Turkish sources.
Unfortunately Split didn't became part of Kingdom of Serbia but kingdom of SHS that was the biggest mistake.
Anyway the people were yugoslavs and the propaganda was Serbs are orthodox so you are Catholic and speak Serbian you don't go to a Hungarian/Italian/Albanian/German church you go to the Croatian and in the process since the 1920s to 1990 they changed their identities/affiliations.

Nothing more about split.

"Simply, the idea that Split is a Serbia city, thankfully, does not belong to the political reality," said Antić.

In principle, he's right. But it was not about Split, but about Vukovar, and the idea is still present in the heads of many Serbs.
