Two Serbia’s Postal Service employees that were arrested by the Kosovo police were released from custody on Saturday.

Two Serbia’s Postal Service employees that were arrested by the Kosovo police were released from custody on Saturday. They will have to check in with a local police station once a week until the proceeding against them is over, said Serbia’s Postal Service Director in Kosovo Randjel Nojkic. The ministry pointed out that the wrong information about the release of the two men came about because of a bad communication with EULEX. The two postmen, both from the village of Ugljare near Pristina, were arrested by members of the Kosovo police at the Bela Zemlja administrative crossing on Thursday evening. The Serbian Ministry for Kosovo received information earlier last night that they were released but the information was later denied.

The ministry pointed out that the wrong information about the release of the two men came about because of a bad communication with EULEX.

The two postmen, both from the village of Ugljare near Priština, were arrested by members of the Kosovo police at the Bela Zemlja administrative crossing on Thursday evening. They were carrying mail from central Serbia to Kosovo and were remanded in custody for 48 hours.
