Opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic called on DSS and NS to join him in developing a program for the future of Serbia. He said that the new program would be the basis of the next government that he believes these three parties will form. SNS calls on DSS-NS to help plan "Serbia's future" "DSS must decide, either we will work together, openly, and without tripping up each other, or if they can continue to fall," Nikolic said in an interview with daily Vecernje Novosti. He added that parliamentary elections will be held next year at the latest. Nikolic said that following SNS's campaign to gathering a million signatures in support of early parliamentary elections, the party will organize a rally for voicing the public's complaints with the current situation and the ruling coalition's refusal to announce new elections. Asked if SNS would enter a government with the ruling Democratic Party (DS), Nikolic said that a situation in which only DS and SNS together can mathematically form a government is possible. "But that does not mean we would enter the government...That is why I believe in our widespread front, which can defeat DS. I do not see SRS in that," Nikolic said of his former party, the opposition Serb Radicals (SRS).
