Pope Benedict XVI hopes the future will bring peace and reconciliation to the people of Kosovo and that Christian cultural treasures there will be preserved. "The Holy See is concerned for stability in the South-East European region and hopes that the conditions will be created this year for reconciliation and a peaceful future for the peoples of Serbia and Kosovo, while respecting minorities and the protection of precious artistic and cultural heritage,“ said the Pope, reports weekly Osservatore Romano paper.
