The UN Security Council will on Friday hold a session to discuss Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's report on Kosovo. This was confirmed for Tanjug news agency today in New York at the U.S. United Nations mission. UN SC Kosovo meeting on Friday The session is scheduled for June 20, and UN SC members are still considering its modalities, mission spokesperson Caroline Vadino said. The U.S. chairs the council this month and thus convenes its sessions. The meeting will focus on Ban's report, which sets out his decision to adapt the world organization's Kosovo mission, UNMIK, structure in a way that would enable the European Union to intensify its role in the rule of law sector under UN umbrella. Ban also announced his decision to appoint a new special representative for Kosovo.
