dd I am afraid it is you and the rest of Serbia who have been duped. I don't agree with all of American policies or actions but this time they are right on the money. It amuses me everytime I hear that the US mission was to establish Camp Bondsteele, it only shows that those people have never been there. But I will not try to change your mind only time can do that. It is just a shame so many people will suffer due to the choices made now.

You got only small part right. Nobody knows real interests of Russia, but for sure you're completely wrong for American interests.
Looks like a good joke: "humanitarian" help associated with American record.Policy of Indians mass murder - genocide, "humanitarian bombings", helping Iraqi and
Afhgan people too - care to much for help where really needed - Africa, Somalia, Sudan - Darfur.
You're blindly buying all American propaganda and glorify your masters.
Just need to be careful - America supported Taliban, and Sadam Hussein for humanitarian reasons, now it helps UDI and Snake - just use logic to get what's possibly coming and be ready.

You have everything backwards. No one "knows" the US interests in Kosovo is for a weaker Russia. But the whole world knows that Russia's interest in Serbia is oil leases and a chance to show the world that Russia is re-emerging as a super power.
US's stance on Kosovo has been consistent even before the surprise of Russia speaking up. You can paint is every color you want but it will always come back to the truth that the US involvement in Kosovo was, is, and always will be a humanitarian goal.

In fact - let's go further. If Serbia is not working on making a legal case for going back into Kosovo (with police) then it may as well say good-by to Kosovo forever.
There is the argument that if a political settlement is imposed 1244 is over - and Serbia can go back in. Does the Serbian government have this option thought out? Does it have the will to ensure that it retains its province?
Probably most Serbs want a better standard of living and so the Tadic line looks appealing. However, Serbia should have both - EU membership and Kosovo.
Personally, I think that the Kosovo UDI was a wrong reward for mono-ethnic ambition on the part of the Albanians. It should never have been supported and it should not be allowed to sustain.
At the end of the day (to use that phrase) it is down to Serbia to insist on the strength of its case ...
... and to do something about it.

If Tadic jumped up and down as much Kostunica over Kosovo instead of this obsession with the EU so too would the Russians.
