The Serbian Justice Ministry submitted to the Austrian judicial bodies a request for the extradition of former Bosnia-Herzegovina Army General Jovan Divjak. Serbian Justice Minister Snezana Malovic told Tanjug on Saturday that the request for Divjak's extradition was submitted over ten days ago. Serbia's request for Divjak extradition Divjak was arrested in Vienna on March 3, 2011, on a Serbian warrant. He is wanted for war crimes committed in Dobrovoljacka Street in Sarajevo in 1992, during the withdrawal of the troops of the then Yugoslav People's Army (JNA). Malovic believes that the Serbiab and Bosnian prosecutions will soon reach an agreement on mutual provision of evidence. "The signing of such an agreement would be a crucial step towards the improvement of cooperation and achieving reconciliation in the region," the justice minister stressed. Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic stated earlier that there is a sufficient degree of reasonable doubt that Divjak was involved in the crime in Dobrovoljacka Street in Sarajevo. Divjak was released on March 8 on a EUR 500,000 bail. Jovan Divjak
