EULEX is basing its case against former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) commander Fatmir Limaj on a witness testimony and a medical file found in his house. This is according to Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore. Daily: Evidence against ex-KLA Limaj is suspected of ordering and participating in torture of Serbs and Kosovo Albanians in a KLA prison camp in the village of Klecka. EULEX arrested Limaj, who is presently a member of the Kosovo assembly, on March 16 and kept him for questioning for two hours. According to the daily, EULEX thinks the ex-KLA commander ordered the murder of two Serbian officers in 1999. The medical file found in his house shows how a witness against the suspect was put in a psychiatric clinic by Limaj and his associates in order to discredit him. This led EULEX to raise an indictment against the former KLA commander and 11 other people, of whom 9 have been arrested, while one is still at large.
