It thus exceeded the upper limit of deviation from the target rate by 0.4 percent, the NBS governor's cabinet released on Monday. Inter-annual inflation 6.1 percent in July According to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the growth of consumer prices in July totaled only 0.1 percent and such a low monthly inflation is for the most part the result of the seasonal drop of prices of fruit and vegetables. Just like in the previous two months, the greatest stake in the inter-annual inflation came from the increase of prices of food and services, NBS stated in a release. According to NBS, the inter-annual inflation rate will continue to increase in the forthcoming period as a result of the growth of import prices, the expected rise in the government-regulated prices and the low base effect.
