Minister gives Corridor 10 update

Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjić said that the construction of Corridor 10 has started on a total of 230 kilometers of highway.

Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic said that the construction of Corridor 10 has started on a total of 230 kilometers of highway. He said that 130 kilometers of the motorway would be completed by the end of the year. Minister gives Corridor 10 update "Works have started in various stages, from tenders to construction, on 230 kilometers of Corridor 10—130 kilometers in the north, 40 in the east, and 60 in the south. By the end of the year, we will complete 130 kilometers," Mrkonjic told daily Vecernje Novosti. According to him, about EUR 950mn will be invested into Corridor 10, which will help Serbia's economy to survive.” "We have organized ourselves well, funds have been provided and we are working, and most of the works is being done by our companies", Mrkonjic said. He said that a total of RSD 7bn has been allocated for projects on Corridor 10, and that five percent of the amount, about EUR 350mn, has been redirected to 15 construction sites in Serbia and around EUR 50mn to the national air carrier JAT, since they are a priority. According to him, the works on the Gazela Bridge on the Sava River are also going according to schedule, and this important section of Corridor 10 would be reconstructed as planned.
