The average wage in Serbia is the lowest in the region. Both Macedonia and Bosnian citizens have larger average wages than Serbs, thanks to the recent decrease in the value of the domestic currency. The situation is similarly dire in Macedonia, with the average wage being EUR 330.83. Bosnian-Herzegovina, whose citizens’ wages have generally been smaller than Serbia's, has passed Serbia in recent months. The Bosnia-Herzegovina Statistics Agency stated that the average wage of its citizens is EUR 392.5. According to data from the Montenegrin Statistics Bureau, wages in Montenegro are EUR 456 on average, and wages in Croatia are an average of EUR 724.13 per citizen. Slovenia easily has the best standard in the region with an average wage of EUR 935.11.
