Serbia has received a total of EUR 4.5bn in non-refundable international assistance since 2000. According to the Ministry of Finance, the EU, Germany and the U.S. are among the largest donors. EUR 4.5bn of intl. assistance since 2000 "It is estimated that Serbia received a total of EUR 4.5 billion in non-refundable international assistance from 2000 through 2008, and that another EUR 2bn were granted as loans by some international financial institutions and banks," Assistant Minister of Finance Gordana Lazarevic told Tanjug. The European Union has committed itself, through its budgets, to grant EUR 2.8bn in donations and favorable loans to Serbia for various projects from 2000 to 2013, Lazarevic added.

"It is estimated that Serbia received a total of EUR 4.5 billion in non-refundable international assistance from 2000 through 2008, and that another EUR 2bn were granted as loans by some international financial institutions and banks," Assistant Minister of Finance Gordana Lazarević told Tanjug.

The European Union has committed itself, through its budgets, to grant EUR 2.8bn in donations and favorable loans to Serbia for various projects from 2000 to 2013, Lazarević added.
