The aid was sent by the humanitarian organization Solidarity for Kosovo. Eight volunteers of this organization and its founder Arnaud Gouillon brought 15 tons of aid whose value exceeds EUR 80,000, Solidarity for Kosovo said.

The humanitarian aid consists in new clothing and shoes, school supplies, sports equipment and toys.

The volunteers have been distributing the packages to the families who need it the most in eastern and central Kosovo, going from village to village, door to door, and will go to Metohija in the coming days.

"Our volunteers were astonished by what they saw in remote villages where Serbs live. Children playing in wool socks and summer sandals in the middle of the winter, old people isolated in abandoned houses, at the mercy of those who threaten them. This is all very shocking! However, we are happy to bring not only material assistance but also the human warmth and the moral support to these noble people who feel lonely and forgotten," Gouillon said.

This is the 38 convoy that reached Kosovo since 2004, when the humanitarian organization was established in France.
