Serbs rebuild roadblock in northern Kosovo

Local Serbs in northern Kosovo on Thursday afternoon once again set up roadblocks on the Priština-Raška road.

The new barrier has sprung up near Rudare, in the Zvečan municipality.

This comes after NATO troops in the province, KFOR, removed large concrete blocks from the same road earlier in the day.

This time the Serbs hauled in tree logs. The traffic has not been completely stopped, but it has slowed down, Tanjug is reporting.

Local Serbs are stressing that their action comes because they oppose the presence of Priština's customs and border police on the administrative line crossing of Jarinje, located between Kosovo and central Serbia.
