The service is very quick considering the ever-present crowd. Since the Italian part of the menu did not inspire us, we turned toward the national: a classic, traditional entrée — cheese saturated in oil, cream and cornbread; it was tasteful, nicely served and prepared – this is not always the case in Skadarlija. Several minutes later we were served with the main courses: chicken with mlinci (although more refined pieces of meat would be easier to manage), as well as the Karadjordjeva steak, were quite correct. With classic Serbian salads we wanted to order some wine, but the poor choice of domestic wines disappointed us: among the rest, we found Rubin’s rose at the price of 1.000 dinars per bottle. The list of desserts is typical for national restaurants — pancakes and orasnice. The pancakes were strong, richly filled and as such presented a serious threat to weight gain. All in all, it was correct, tasteful, with good service and at very attractive location. Meal for two costs 3,000 dinars. This national restaurant, with the influence of Italian gastronomy, holds an excellent position in Skadarlija, therefore, you can expect a crowd there and somewhat higher prices.
