VSS reevaluates decisions not to re-elect judges
The High Judicial Council (VSS) on Wednesday started interviewing judges who according to the VSS did not meet the criteria necessary to perform their duties.

The High Judicial Council (VSS) on Wednesday started interviewing judges who according to the VSS did not meet the criteria necessary to perform their duties. The VSS has announced that two commissions will be in charge of the process and will reexamine the decision to terminate the judges’ judicial service. The procedure will be public. VSS reevaluates decisions not to re-elect judges The re-election of judges and prosecutors has been frowned upon by judicial organizations since the beginning. The European Commission (EC) also made some serious objections and requested the judicial authorities to reevaluate the process. Judges’ Association of Serbia Deputy President Omer Hadziomerovic told B92 that the number of decisions that would be reevaluated guaranteed that the process would certainly take several months.
