Minister gives update on road constructions
Work on the Ub-Lajkovac part of the Belgrade-South Adriatic highway would begin in ten days, Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjić said.

Work on the Ub-Lajkovac part of the Belgrade-South Adriatic highway would begin in ten days, Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjic said. He said that a total of EUR 73mn will be invested in the project, which will be handled by domestic construction companies. Minister gives update on road constructions Mrkonjic said that there would be 12 bridges built on that route and that 1,000 workers will be working on it. “The length of the section is 12.5 kilometers, and the total value of the project is EUR 73mn. A consortium of Serbian companies will be working on it,” he said. “Most importantly, the residents of this region are ready for the realization of the project and are participating appropriately, especially in offering services to those working on the expropriation. I thank these citizens for their understanding of what we are doing and for offering maximum help to the people who are working there,” Mrkonjic said. Infrastructure Ministry State Secretary Jovica Zarkula said that this section was selected to be finished first because the expropriation of the land there was the simplest to complete.
