Italian FM: Time to apply for candidacy Frattini was one of the most enthusiastic European officials who insisted that Holland should ease its stance on completely cooperation with the Hague Tribunal and allow the trade agreement to be unfrozen. He told Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti that the unfreezing of the trade agreement is a significant political result that has been achieved. “The unfreezing of the interim trade agreement was achieved, as well as the liberalization of the visa regime with signatories of the Schengen agreement, which will take power soon. This will be a great day for Serbia’s citizens. A group of Serbian citizens will have an organized trip to Rome on December 21. Italy will be the first country on the ‘Around Europe Without Visas.’ Visit. It will truly be a historic moment,” he said. Asked about the eventual ratification of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA), Frattini said that he believes that it will happen before June. “I hope that in six months, by the beginning of June next year, we will be able to start the ratification of the SAA. We will make the decision later, during the Spanish presidency,” Frattini said.
