President Boris Tadic says "certain statements by Croatian officials were spoiling relations between Serbia and Croatia", Beta reported. He stressed that he was primarily referring to the stand of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic about Serbia not conducting a sufficiently honest policy toward Bosnia-Herzegovina. "Some Croatian statements spoil relations" "Serbia is supporting the integrity of all neighboring countries, because it is thus protecting its own integrity in Kosovo. If Serbia did not support the integrity of its neighbors, it would bring into question its own appearance before international institutions," Tadic said. "Interference in [the] internal affairs [of states] is the stand Croatia put forward before the international tribunal when it argued that, according to the 1974 Constitution, the provinces also had the right to self-determination. I hope it is not the intention of Croatia that our relations descend to a lower level of bilateral ties," Tadic said. "Serbia remains supportive of good relations between neighbors, which is a fundamental precondition for European integration," Tadic said at a news conference after a meeting with Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom.
