Borislav Stefanovic says the decision of the International Steering Group (ISG) to end the so-called supervised independence of Kosovo "does not mean much". This is because EULEX and KFOR will remain in the province, said the lead Belgrade negotiator in the EU-sponsored Kosovo dialogue. Negotiator plays down importance of ISG decision "The decision does not mean much in terms of our national position regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, but the smaller the foreign influence and the bigger ban to the autocracy and unilateral moves of Pristina, the better," Stefanovic was quoted as saying for Radio Kontakt Plus from Kosovska Mitrovica. As he pointed out, the ISG decision does not refer to KFOR and EULEX and they will continue to perform their tasks. However, Stefanovic added, "II believe that this (decision) is a dangerous thing because everyone knows that the so-called independent Kosovo is neither a defined nor a democratic decriminalized formation." In a certain way this gives Pristina additional freedom to draw unilateral moves, which could be very dangerous, Stefanovic warned. He said that the decision on the abolishment of the so-called supervised independence of Kosovo was an "artificially created occurrence" which ought to show that Kosovo was "a new, independent, mature, democratic European state - which is completely untrue." Stefanovic believes that Serbs can resolve this problem "primarily by avoiding any form of violence and acting in coordination with their state". Borislav Stefanovic (Tanjug, file) Tanjug
